Meet Erin
Hello! I am so happy you’re here because connecting with and helping others has always been a passion of mine.
Originally from a small town on the east coast, I moved to Calgary in 2012 where I worked in the corporate sector for 12+years while simultaneously volunteering in the mental health field. It was an area that always filled my cup, as I have been passionate about finding connection in the struggles that we all face. After the pandemic hit, I decided to follow my dreams of pursuing a Masters in Counselling Psychology and opening my own practice.
The idea of creating Wave Mental Wellness excited me during my own personal wellness journey, as I realized I wanted to build a community where everyone was able to feel valued and accepted while achieving a complete sense of wellbeing.
I’ve been described as organically warm, bubbly, and empathetic - if you think I would be a good fit for your mental wellness needs, I would love to connect!
PS. my life outside of work mostly consists of spending time outdoors with my dog & loved ones, watching Bravo tv shows, and likely eating popcorn :)

Treatment Approach & Personal Style
Empowering others to embrace their authentic selves and unlock their full potential is I what I love to do. Driven by empathy, warmth, trust, and support, I believe in connecting with clients on a personal level and developing a genuine relationship as we collaboratively tackle whatever life has thrown their way. The ups and downs, lefts and rights, moments of storms and stillness - I know life is tough and I am with my clients through it all.
Because therapy can be a personal and vulnerable experience, I work with clients to alleviate potential fears and come together to set customized goals according to their unique needs. I love to receive feedback and want to know how I can better assist my clients.
My work is primarily influenced in developing relationships through holistic humanistic approaches where I believe people are inherently good. I like to work within the internal family systems (IFS) model and bottom up approaches like somatic experiencing, bringing together the holistic connection between mind and body. Other strategies I pull from include mindfulness, strengths, and CBT, working under a trauma-informed and culturally responsive framework.
“We all come from different life experiences that deeply shape who we are. Being a trusted resource that builds long-lasting relationships is at the heart of Wave and who I am”
- Erin Sullivan, Wave Mental Wellness
